Our name comes with a friendly face: Tucker, Brad’s golden doodle. Behind that face is a straightforward way of working—honest answers, clear communication, and ownership of the job.

THE PERSON BEHIND LUCKY DOG
Meet Brad.
Raised on James Island, Brad Balkham is proud to call the Lowcountry home—and to raise his three daughters here. His commitment to this community started early. Seeing Hurricane Hugo devastate the region as a child sparked a lasting motivation to rebuild better and help protect the place he loves.
Before starting his own business, Brad spent 15 years in a fast-paced corporate environment leading design, engineering, and project management teams. He brings that experience to Lucky Dog Roofing through careful planning, clear communication, and a commitment to seeing every project through.
A licensed residential builder since 2007, Brad also holds an unlimited commercial general contractor license and the Project Management Professional (PMP) credential. For Brad, every project is an opportunity to put that experience to work for his neighbors.
